So, what is en fuego? en fuego is the student ministry of VFC designed with today’s youth culture in mind. At en fuego we see students who know God, live for Him, reach out to others and impact a generation as students reach students! en fuego High School and en fuego Middle School are going to be “on fire”!
Why en fuego? We exist to CONNECT students with God, OUTFIT them for life change in Christ, EQUIP them for the Great Commission …and the CHALLENGE them… …to be FULLY DEVOTED followers of Jesus Christ!

en fuego Middle School Ministry is the ministry specially designed for middle schoolers at VFC. en fuego MSM meets in "The Place" (the VFC Youth Room) on Saturday evenings at 5 & 7pm and on Sunday mornings at 9 & 11am. en fuego MSM offers relationships, games, videos, small group discussion and the information students need to strengthen their walk with Christ or even start one.

Wed., July 9 | 6:30-8pm | VFC Youth Room
If you’ve wondered what your kids are getting out of youth group and who Pastor Matt really is then you are invited to join Pastor Matt and the en fuego MSM leaders for an evening of sharing. Join us to connect with the team by discussing what is coming up for your teen in the youth program here at VFC. You’ll hear Pastor Matt’s vision, be able to ask questions, hear about the upcoming series’, get details about summer camp and evaluate the student lunch program. Refreshments and appetizers will be provided.

July 12/13 & July 26/27 | Weekend Services | VFC Youth Room
During the weekend services middle school students will have the opportunity to worship together and be taught, and then break off into smaller groups of students to discuss topics in detail with the guidance of an adult youth leader. These times are great for students to connect with each other and their group leader through games, discussions and prayer time.

Sun. July 13th | 2-5pm | Centennial Neighborhood in Vicksburg
All Middle School Students 6th-8th grade are invited to have a blast at the en fuego middle school pool party held at the new pool in Centennial, a neighborhood just east of Portage Rd. in Vicksburg. Bring your towel, and girls must wear a one piece swim suit or a tankini that covers their stomachs. A t-shirt must be worn over a two-piece swim suit. The cost is only $10 and it covers the pool & lunch! To sign up, pay $10 at the info table in the upstairs youth room by July 16th. We can’t wiat to see you there!
Directions From VFC: Head east on Romence Rd. toward Bratcher St. (0.6 miles). Continue on Romence Rd. Pkwy (1.5 miles). Turn right at Portage Rd. (5.1 miles). Turn left at U Ave East (1 mile). Turn right at 22nd Street (0.6 miles) into Centennial, an Allen Edwin Neighborhood.

Families with students in 6th-8th grade are invited to the annual BBQ in the Park! It's a great event, a chance to have some good food and get to know other families! We'll provide the meat. We are asking 6th grade families to bring desserts, 7th grade families to bring chips, and 8th grade families to bring drinks. Can't wait to see you there!

Friday, July 25 | 6:30pm-9:00pm | Airway Lanes
All en fuego Middle School students are invited to join in the fun at Airway Lanes on Portage Rd. across from the airport on Friday July 25 from 6-9pm. The Cost is only $15 per student and covers unlimited access to lazer tag, bumper cars and mini golf for the full three hours. Spaces are limited so students need to sign up no later than Sunday July 13th. Students can sign up by paying the full amount at the info table in the youth room upstairs. Students are encouraged to bring extra cash for food and go karts are not included in the price.

en fuego Middle School is looking for more people to join our team! We are looking for people full of passion, energy and a heart to serve! Middle School is a vital time in a student's life and we are in need of people who feel a calling or connection with this age group! "No Limits" Cell Phone Drive
Hey Middle School Student, do you have an old cell phone in working condition? Well, if so we want it! Each cell phone en fuego MSM receives at the info. table in the Youth Room adds up to $$$ money that will go toward the "No Limits" building fund. The student who brings in the most cell phones by August 31st (with a 20 phone limit) gets a $25 Best Buy gift card!

Due to an overwhelming response we have already reached our goal! Thank you for your support and involvement! We will be shipping the items and are no longer accepting anymore cases at this time. We know that not only will the orphans be blessed, but there will be a blessing coming to each person who got involved.
en fuego MSM July Series-"The Biggest Loser"
July 5-27 | Weekend Services | VFC Youth Room
en fuego MSM’s July series is titled, “The Biggest Loser.” This four week series gives the middle school students a chance to participate in a spiritual workout program together. They will be challenged to shed the pounds of “junk” from their life that the world has offered through television, music and movies.
Students will learn how to live on a steady diet of God’s Word and understand how this new lifestyle diet can take their lives to a whole new level. At the end of the series students will “weigh in” to see how their lives have changed.

Each week students from across Kalamazoo County will come together for a diverse blend of activities and meaningful worship. Driven by students and fueled by creativity and relevance, en fuego focuses on different issues that speak to the life of high school students.

At VFC, we believe that children are our future. Which is why we go above and beyond to teach kids, even from birth, how to be strong in their faith. Investing in a child’s life not only means the world to them, it also means the world to God. By volunteering in en fuego High School, you will be investing in the Kingdom! You will have the chance to reach students at such a crucial time in their life!
You will not only be able to teach them new things, you will also learn a lot! You will have loads of fun, experience powerful worship and speaking and sow seeds into students' lives. You will be a blessing to VFC, but more importantly to God. We are looking for people who specifically feel called to work with high school students, have lots of energy, ears to listen and a heart to serve. Willing individuals must have completed "Get A Grip On The Basics".
