Online Giving

       

Q: Why should I give online?
It's a personal preference, but here are a few of the benefits we hear frequently:
- It's a step of faith...deciding in advance to give faithfully.
- It helps simplify life...no trying to remember whether or not you've given tithes and offerings this month.
- It allows you to give consistently...even when you're not at church.
- It allows you to focus on the service when you're at church...no more digging for a pen in the dark.
- It is convenient for many people who do not carry a checkbook or cash.

Q: How do I give online?
Click the "Give General Tithes and Offerings" button and follow the prompts to create an account and set up your contribution.

Q: I clicked the "Give General Tithes and Offerings" button and nothing happens.
When you click the "Give General Tithes and Offerings" button, a new browser window is opened. If you are using a pop-up blocker such as the Google Toolbar, Norton Internet Security, or Pop-Up Stopper, the window will not open. Most tools will allow you to permit pop-ups on a specific web site. In order to access the Online Giving area, you will need to allow pop-ups within kvfc.org.

Q: When would this automatic contribution be charged to my account?
On the signup screens, you can specify whether you want your contribution made one time, weekly, every other week (bi-weekly), twice per month (1st and the 15th), monthly, quarterly, or yearly. You can set up as many schedules as you would like, so it is possible to give a monthly gift as well as a weekly one.

Q: Can I test this by giving one time?
Yes. You may test Online Giving by selecting “One Time” in the frequency drop down box of the signup process. It is best if you give at least $2.00 to test.

Q: How can I keep a record of the amount I have contributed?
Simply by setting up a user account, your giving record will be available. It may take 7-10 days from the initial setup for these records to appear. Then, at any time you can view your record of "online" giving by viewing the Contribution History box. This will provide each donation you made, when you made it, and a year-to-date total. We also send year end statements directly to your home address sometime early in the following calendar year.

Q: Can I designate which funds I give to?
Yes. You may select either: General Tithes & Offerings, the Building Fund or Missions. Note: If you are scheduling automatic giving you will need to set up two or three different schedules to give to the General Tithes & Offerings Fund, the Building Fund, or Missions online.

Q: How do I participate in the weekly offering if my contribution is automatically processed online?
You can still participate in the offering during the service by hooking up with the prayer that is said over the offering.

Q: Can I use my debit card or credit card?
Yes, as long as it has a MasterCard, Visa, or American Express logo.

Q: Can I use an electronic check?
No.
