What kind of a church is VFC?
People generally want to know: what do you believe and what style of worship do you have? We are a Bible-based church with a contemporary, charismatic style of worship. Our focus is teaching the Bible in an innovative and compelling way so people can experience the reality of being born-again and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We’re raising up an on-fire generation of people who love Jesus and share the gospel in their sphere of influence!
We offer programs that will help your whole family grow in faith
We are committed to the spiritual development of your entire family — kids, teens and adults! Whether you’re investigating the claims of Christ, a new or young Christian, or a mature well-seasoned believer, there is always room for spiritual growth and we offer a variety of classes and programs that will assist you. In addition to our regular services we offer dynamic ministry for kids and students.
Kids Ministry
We strive to create an environment where kids connect with the one and only REAL God — where they learn to apply the Bible to REAL life and connect with COOL friends — all in a COOL place.

Preschoolers: birth – kindergarten meet in “Joy City, USA” located on the main level in the Children’s Wing (look for the brightly colored “city” and traffic light!) 4’s, 5’s & K’s upstairs.

en fuego: 9th – 12th grade meet weekly on Sunday nights @ 6pm in "The Place". Students come together for a diverse blend of activities and meaningful worship. Driven by students and fueled by creativity and relevance — en fuego focuses on issues that speak to the life of high school students.
en fuego six.8: 6th – 8th grade meet during all weekend services (Saturday 5 & 7pm and Sunday 9 & 11am) in "The Place". Make friends, play games/videos, have small group discussions and receive what students need to develop and strengthen their walk with Christ.
Vision
We see a large family church where people live by Great Faith, live for the Great Commission and live out the Great Commandment.
“We See A Large Family Church”: Simply means that God has given us a big vision and a big church is part of it. Anything that is alive ought to be growing. A large church has its challenges, but its advantages as well. The resources in volunteers, finances, supplies, materials and influence are significantly larger. A large church can offer Kids Ministry, Student Ministry, Singles Ministry, Women’s Ministry, Men’s Ministry, Small Groups, outreach to the poor, missionary support and more.
“Where People Live By Great Faith”: The Bible tells us Jesus is coming back soon and He’s going to be looking for people who have faith. “When the Son of Man returns, will He find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8) In fact, Jesus was astounded when He met the Centurian who actually took Him at His Word. Jesus called the man’s faith GREAT. “I have not seen such GREAT FAITH, no not in all of Israel.” (Matthew 8:10) It’s our desire to raise up a church where people take Jesus at His Word and dare to step out in FAITH adventures where God’s thumb print shows up big in their lives. That’s why we always teach the Word!
“Where People Live For The Great Commission”: Jesus left us the GREAT COMMISSION when He told us to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” (Matt 28:18-19) That is what we live for. We’ll have eternity to party and celebrate God’s goodness toward us, but we only have our lifetime to tell people about Jesus and how they can be saved. That’s why we offer culturally relevant services each weekend. This environment makes it easy for you to invite your unchurched family and friends to attend. Lifestyle evangelism; acts of kindness; bold, in-your-face preaching; or passing out tracts wherever we go — whatever it takes to get the attention of a lost person is what we are about.
“Where People Live For The Great Commandment”: Of course, the GREAT COMMANDMENT is to love God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves. That’s why we have an emphasis on heartfelt, exuberant, “get with it” praise and worship. We ought to get as excited and demonstrative praising God as we do when we cheer for our kids at their soccer games or as excited as we get when we cheer for our favorite team during the Super Bowl. We also believe that the bottom line on being a Christian and living out the GREAT COMMANDMENT is to walk in love toward our neighbors. That means looking for ways to BE a blessing to others. Whether it’s a kind word, a gift, bringing a friend to church or starting a ministry to reach the poor and underprivileged — loving others is the true grit of Christianity.
Who’s Who?
We have identified three types of people who attend our church - “Visitors”, “Friends” and “Family Members”. Each groups has various church backgrounds and are at different stages of their spiritual growth. We feel it’s important to give our Visitors and Friends freedom and time to grow in their knowledge of God’s Word while sorting out their own beliefs. At the same time, we recognize that there are others who are eager to become Family Members where they can be committed and involved in their local church and receive mutual commitment in return. It is our desire that every Visitor become a Friend and ultimately, a Family Member. We hope these descriptions will help you relax and enjoy your spiritual journey as you find your place at VFC.
Visitors – Occasional Attendees
A Visitor is a person who “occasionally” visits Valley Family Church. This person is a one-time or “occassional” attendee of one of our services. Perhaps attending church is new to the Visitor, or our style of worship may be different than what they are used to. We like to give our Visitors the space they need, while at the same time letting them know we welcome them and are here to meet their needs. We invite Visitors to become Friends!
Friends – Regular Attendees
A Friend is a person who “regularly” attends Valley Family Church. This person is a “regular” attendee of one or more of our services. Friends are still sorting out what type of commitment level they desire from the church. They may need time to get used to the “culture” and “style” of our church and find their niche. We like to let Friends be in the driver seat concerning their commitment. Friends are welcome to serve at VFC in the Kid’s Ministry after they have attended regularly for three months. Friends interested in getting involved there can pick up a Regular Attendee Volunteer Ministry Application/Background Check Release Form at the Information Center. We invite Friends to become Family!
Family – Committed Members
A Family Member is a person who is “committed” to Valley Family Church and has attended our “Membership Class”. This person is “committed” to attending one or more of our services and is committed to the vision of VFC. Family Members are ready to take the plunge and get involved! They expect a lot out of their church, and their church expects a lot out of them! There is a mutual love and commitment. This is where you get off the bench and get in the game. We invite every family member to serve at lease once a month.
