Pastors Jeff and Beth Jones founded Kalamazoo Valley Family Church on September 21, 1991, with the help of three other adults and four children, and a vision for reaching families all over the greater Kalamazoo area! Over the last sixteen years, Valley Family Church has grown from the original 9 people to over 2,500 people who consider VFC to be their home church.

Our church is an independent, non-denominational, full-gospel church! That means we are not affiliated with any one denomination. The fact is, our church is full of people who were raised in any number of denominations: Methodist, Catholic, Baptist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Assembly of God, Christian Reformed, Nazarene, Reformed, Weslyan, Church of God, Episcopal and numerous others. The thing we all have in common is that we exalt Jesus Christ as Lord and we believe the Bible is the Word of God.

From the beginning, we have seen Valley Family Church as a local church with a regional influence. Our vision and purpose have been focused on reaching Southwest Michigan. Our message has stayed consistent and can be summarized as one of abundant life through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit, and through faith in God's Word!
