JEFF JONES - Senior Pastor

Pastor Jeff is originally from Lansing, Michigan. Jeff Jones serves as the Senior Pastor of Valley Family Church. Jeff studied at Spring Arbor College in Spring Arbor, MI. He received his ministry training at Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, OK & is ordained through the Rhema Ministerial Association International. Prior to being called into the pastorate, Jeff’s professional background includes working as a commercial pilot and flight instructor, as well as a principal partner in an industrial lighting agency for 14 years. In 1986, he left the business world to follow his call to the ministry. jeffjones@kvfc.org

BETH JONES - Senior Pastor

Beth Jones is a Bible teacher, author, wife and mother of four children, who ministers the Word in a relevant and inspiring way by sharing down-to-earth insights. She is the author of the popular "Getting A Grip On The Basics" series, which is being used by thousands of churches in America and abroad. She’s also written the "Bite Sized Bible Study" series and "Why The Gory, Bloody Details?" Beth writes a bi-weekly newspaper column titled, “Just Us Girls” and hosts two websites: bethjones.org and bethjones.blogs.com. She received her BA in Communications from Boston University, Boston, Massachusetts and her post-graduate Bible training & ordination through Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She and her husband Jeff founded and serve as the senior pastors of Valley Family Church. bethjones@kvfc.org

APRIL WEDEL - Associate Pastor

Associate Pastor April Wedel oversees the Creative Arts Division at VFC, including: Creative Arts and Production. April is ordained through Faith Christian Fellowship based in Tulsa, OK. Prior to serving in ministry, April served as a store manager in a national restaurant chain. She authored the book, “Effective Small Group Ministry Customized For Your Church”. RICHARD PILGER - Associate Pastor

Associate Pastor Richard Pilger oversees the Family Education Division at VFC, which includes: Kids, Students, and the EPIC School of Ministry. He also oversees the Joy City Community Preschool. Richard received his training at Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, OK, & is ordained through Rhema Ministerial Association International. Prior to ministry, Richard worked as a corporate trainer for a national restaurant chain. In 1994, Richard began serving on staff at Rhema Bible Church, where he served as assistant children’s minister, assistant to the pastoral staff & as an instructor at Rhema Bible Training Center for 10 years. Richard joined the VFC staff in 2004. He & his wife Tori have two children. richardpilger@kvfc.org.

TAMI STAMM - Associate Pastor

Associate Pastor Tami Stamm oversees the Congregational Ministries Division at VFC, which includes: Pastoral Care, Assimilation, Generations, Guest Services and Small Group Ministries. She also oversees the Family Care Center. Tami graduated from the Jerry Savelle Ministries International Bible School in Crowley, Texas. Prior to joining the VFC staff in 2001, Tami was a stay-at-home mom for 14 years, during which time she also operated a home-based interior decorating and custom drapery business. JUSTIN MITCHELL- Associate Pastor

Associate Pastor Justin Mitchell oversees the Communications Division at VFC, which includes Marketing, Graphics, Publications, Information Technology and all VFC Web Ministries. Justin first studied saxophone performance at Western Michigan University and then attended Great Lakes Christian College in Lansing, MI. He is now licensed through Faith Christian Fellowship based in Tulsa, Ok. Prior to serving at VFC, Justin served as a Senior Pastor for six years in Marshall, MI. He has also worked as a Computer Network administrator for over ten years. Justin and his wife Amy are both Portage natives and feel blessed to be back serving the Lord in their home town. justinmitchell@kvfc.org

AARON JOHNSON - Associate Administrator

Associate Administrator Aaron Johnson oversees the Financial, Human Resources, Facilities and Office Departments of VFC. Additionally, Aaron (along with his wife, Katie) serves as leader of the 'Hitched' Generations Ministry. Aaron grew up in Grand Rapids, MI and moved to Kalamazoo, MI in 2000. He graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2000 with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Finance. Prior to working full time in ministry, Aaron served as a volunteer at VFC for over 6 years and was employed in the financial industry for over 10 years, most recently at Fifth Third Bank. Aaron and Katie currently have a daughter and a son. aaronjohnson@kvfc.org
