New to KVFC – I have been attending KVFC for a year or so now. I have always felt lost and didn’t know the meaning of living life. I just want to thank God that he brought me to this church. Man, through your messages I can now say I am finally alive!!! For anyone looking for that thing that is missing in their life, it is here!!! I can say now this is living life. I have to throw this one in for the worship team, you guys rock!!!.

Tithing – I’ve never been one to test the Lord or make “deals” with Him. With one exception: In Malachi 3:10, God clearly invites us to test Him in the matter of tithing. Over the years, I have personally witnessed God honor the promises He makes in Malachi 3:9-12. Many times God has honored my commitment to tithing. God can always find a way when it looks like there is no way. God is so faithful to His promises that writing a tithe check has become a source of excitement and joy to me.

Student Ministries – Serving in the en fuego high school ministry has been an awesome experience for me. Through serving I have grown so much in my walk with Christ, have grown closer to God, and it has given me many blessings. I love coming to en fuego every Sunday night. The students here give me energy and their enthusiasm is contagious. It is incredible to see these students worshipping the Lord.

Small Groups – The Divorce Care group has really helped me personally to be able to express my feelings and get things off my chest. It’s helped to have other people to talk to who are in the same situation you are in and can relate to what you’re going through. This group has also been a great resource for good Christian friendships with people who have similar life experiences.

Grip Classes – I have been a lukewarm Christian for 40 years and I have never heard some of this stuff! The class exceeded my expectations. The Grip Blitz class was intense but inspiring to think about nothing else for four days.

No Limits Series – We both read over the No Limits brochure and put the issue to prayer for a week. Separately, we wrote down the numbers that we felt the Lord was leading us to give for a one time and the 3 year commitment. Our one year numbers were exactly the same. Our 3 year commitment was close, but was different by what amounted to be an extra $50 a month. Although our budget didn’t allow for it, we decided on the higher of the two numbers, trusting in faith that the Lord would provide for the difference. The very next day I was handed a $50 bill by a relative that lives over 100 miles away. I felt God wink at me and say, "Trust me."

No Limits Series – Initially She Was Turned Off By the Series: I only attended one of the "No Limits" series, and was totally turned off! (my husband attended all of them) I had an attitude about the new church and all the money involved! My husband kept talking about the dollar amount that he wanted to give, and I thought we should give half of that or less...maybe none at all. I had the attitude, we can't afford that on top of what we give already!
She Had a Heart Change: On the Big Day, we were up and getting ready for church when we started talking about our big gift! For the first time throughout "No Limits", I had a serious "gotta live by faith" moment, which by the way, I've never had!! I felt awesome writing the check to the church with a silly grin on my face thinking we've got to be crazy, and off we went to church.
Here's What Happened: The result is that I had the biggest week at work ever (14) years! Saturday, I made more money then I usually make in 3 days, and Sunday when I wrote my tithe check, I wrote it for more and showed my husband the 3 year commitment I just had just decided to make!! He said cool. This was my first really big God moment, and I'm so excited!! Thank You!!

No Limits Series – We Didn't Have The Money: Remember your agreement for God to bless the seeds sown? WOW, I guess this is my month for praise reports! We planned to give $2,000 to the "No Limits" campaign and last week, we didn’t have the extra $2,000 to give. This was literally going to cut our “emergency” fund in ½ to be able to make that contribution. We debated the logic of borrowing money to contribute money. To further complicate things, in my business account we had recently taken a draw for over $2,000 that was not fully paid back yet. Also, we had not made a retirement contribution in the previous 2 quarters. So...I’m sure you can appreciate the stress we were under due to the timing of the one-time contribution, but both of us stuck to our guns and made a very bold commitment.
Unexpected Orders Started Coming In: Things started rapidly coming through for us. Fairly large orders started coming in out of the blue. Most of these orders were completely unexpected, not even on my radar. The orders kept coming through this week and then my wife's business started getting blessed also. To top it off, we sold our travel trailer that we anticipated putting into storage to sell next season. Today, additional “unexpected” large orders came in. In one week since we made our “seemingly insane” building fund declaration, we went from a pretty scare financial situation to our healthiest “emergency fund” in a few years. We are caught back up in our retirement account. My business credit line will be paid off and the business account back up to a healthy level and a we will have a decent “slush fund”. GOD IS GOOD!!!!!!

No Limits Series – A Virtual Attendee In Law School Decides To Buy Two Chairs - $16,000: I already know that VFC is home--even though I don't know how I'm going to ultimately get there--and so I had already "felt called" to make a three-year pledge in addition to a one-time deal. (I've been paying close attention to the details online) I just didn't know how much. I've never thought about my finances in any sort of long-term fashion. I've just always had what I needed when I needed it. So, as I played around with some numbers on paper, nothing seemed right/certain, so I just let it marinate in faith, knowing that if it was His will, He would provide me with the figure I needed. So today, when God asked me if I'd be willing to make my seed grow tenfold, I immediately knew that was it. So it's funny to me that my total giving represents two seats in the new auditorium. I guess it means I have to either a) get married or b) gain a lot of weight so I can take up two seats. But either way, it's exciting to get a glimpse of just how much I've been blessed and that He takes pleasure in my prosperity!
God Keeps Blessing Her Future and Finances: God continues to do awesome things with my future and finances. So the story goes, based on just six days of work in the office, yesterday a major corporation offered me another semester position for the winter. On top of that, for the summer, I have a firm offer on the table for a $2,000/wk, 12-week summer internship and potentially three more substantially similar offers forthcoming in the next few weeks.
